Job Description
- Performs a variety of electrical maintenance work of traffic engineering and other electrical equipment - Exercises lead responsibility over apprentices - Installs and repairs electrical traffic signals and other electrical equipment - Assists foreperson lay-out and design work projects - Trains apprentices to perform the work - Follows established health and safety procedures - Maintains tools and equipment -Discusses work problems and projects with co-workers Minimum Requirements: - Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: - Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work - Spends prolonged periods of time sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and climbing - Lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds in a team setting - Works at locations with limited or difficult access including uneven terrain - Identifies wiring based on color codes Minimum Requirements: - Must possess a Journeyman Certification or completion of a four year Apprenticeship Program - Must submit to and pass pre-employment and random alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the Department of Transportation - Must wear safety equipment as mandated by OSHA - Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license Special Requirements: - Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes or obtain within six months of employment
