Job Summary: The Ophthalmology department is currently recruiting for a Glaucoma Ophthalmology Fellow. The 12-month Storm Eye Institute fellowship in glaucoma ophthalmology is designed to ensure that participants develop the knowledge base diagnostic reasoning and clinical and surgical skills necessary to provide quality ethical ophthalmic eye care to patients with glaucoma.

The 12-month Storm Eye Institute fellowships are designed to ensure that participants develop the knowledge base diagnostic reasoning and clinical and surgical skills necessary to provide high-quality and ethical ophthalmic care. Our fellowship programs are designed to provide a clinical and surgical learning environment that consistently builds skill and confidence while emphasizing outstanding patient care professionalism interpersonal skills and community service all of which shape tomorrows highly effective and ethical ophthalmologists.

Education Requirement: M.D. or Equivalent

Postdoctoral Scholars/Fellows Postdoctoral Scholars/Fellows MUSC Physical Requirements (Note: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: Continuous - 6-8 hours per shift; Frequent - 2-6 hours per shift; Infrequent - 0-2 hours per shift) Ability to perform job functions in an upright position. (Infrequent) Ability to lift and carry objects up to 15 lbs. a distance of five (5) floors and to outlying buildings. (Frequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision corrected. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities.
