We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Retail Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our customers, staff, and merchandise. As a Retail Security Officer at ZARA , you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our customers and team members. ZARA is a fast-paced, high-traffic fashion retail environment, and your presence helps ensure loss prevention, crowd management, and quick response to any safety concerns. You will be responsible for monitoring customer activity, deterring shoplifting, and handling incidents professionally in line with both company policy and legal standards. Your attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure will help protect ZARA's brand reputation while supporting our commitment to excellent customer service.
Monitor store premises through patrols
Deter theft and any suspicious activity.
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms quickly and effectively.
Conduct bag checks or security screenings when required.
Assist store management with enforcing company policies and procedures.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.
Write accurate reports on incidents and daily activities.
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services if needed.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Valid Security Guard License (if required by region/state).
Previous experience in retail security or loss prevention preferred.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for long periods.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Retail store setting with moderate foot traffic.
Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Stable and supportive work environment.
