Job Description
Step into an enriching travel nursing opportunity as a Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care, based in Berlin, Vermont. This is your chance to impact residents’ lives with compassionate, skilled care while enjoying the beauty and pace of a welcoming New England town. You’ll begin a structured assignment on December 8, 2025, for several weeks, delivering essential geriatric care in a community that values dignity, comfort, and quality outcomes. Bring your clinical expertise, empathy, and collaborative spirit to a role that blends hands-on leadership with patient-centered care. As you do meaningful work, you’ll also have the chance to experience Vermont’s charm—small-town warmth, local farms, and access to hiking, seasonal festivals, and crisp winter landscapes that make every shift feel worth it.
Located in Berlin, Vermont, you’ll benefit from a supportive, close-knit healthcare community that emphasizes patient safety, family engagement, and proactive care planning. The region’s appeal goes beyond the bedside: stroll through green landscapes, enjoy easy drives to Montpelier and the Capitol complex, and explore Vermont’s easy access to outdoor adventures. This opportunity also opens doors to work in other locations across the U.S., offering diverse settings to advance your clinical skills while maintaining a stable home base. Whether you’re drawn to the tranquility of rural campuses or the energy of larger facilities, the experience here helps you grow as a nurse, a mentor to teammates, and a trusted advocate for residents and their families.
Role specifics and benefits:
- Core responsibilities: deliver comprehensive nursing care to LTC residents, administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor changing conditions, perform regular assessments, and update care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. You’ll lead and participate in rounds, coordinate with therapists and social work, execute wound care when needed, manage IV therapies as appropriate, and support safe transfers and admissions. Documentation in electronic health records, accurate medication reconciliation, and rigorous infection prevention are essential. You’ll also play a key role in falls prevention, delirium monitoring, and engaging residents in meaningful activities to preserve function and quality of life.
- Professional growth: this role offers opportunities to expand clinical competencies in geriatric care, palliative approaches, and care coordination. You’ll mentor Certified Nursing Assistants, collaborate on quality improvement initiatives, and shadow or supervise per facility needs, setting the stage for leadership tracks within LTC settings.
- Competitive benefits and support: enjoy a competitive weekly pay range of approximately $2,087 to $2,140, with a bonus structure to recognize your expertise and dedication. We provide housing assistance to reduce relocation stress, plus extension opportunities if you wish to continue your assignment after the initial period. You’ll benefit from comprehensive travel support, including onboarding, credentialing assistance, and scheduled check-ins with a dedicated nurse recruiter. The program is designed to minimize stress and maximize your effectiveness on the floor.
- Travel and back-up support: you’ll have 24/7 support from our experienced travel team while you’re on assignment. Expert coordinators help with scheduling, housing logistics, and any immediate needs that arise, ensuring you can focus on delivering excellent patient care and enjoying your time in each community.
