Job Description

DESCRIPTION

AWS Solutions is a new organization with ambitions to be a leading provider of business applications, leveraging Amazon’s unique experience and expertise, used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. Our mission is to accelerate our customers’ businesses by delivering intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon’s real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

To be successful in this mission we are looking for a Principal Product Designer LLMs. The successful candidate will help ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform while thinking strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

To thrive in this role, you must be a pioneer with an inventor’s spirit and a strong understanding of language (inputs and outputs) and the written word, someone who is passionate about technology and innovation. You are able to work fast, handle several projects, and quickly discern the needs of a brand as it relates to voice and tone. You know how to present ideas professionally through a strategic and creative lens. You must be comfortable working with project briefs and managing stakeholder inputs, functional requirements, and timelines. You have a solid understanding of conversation design fundamentals combined with a deep understanding of how to collaborate with UX designers, researchers, product management, engineering, data science, and operational teams as you go from early-stage product concepts to launches of new features and experiences. The ideal candidate must be comfortable in navigating ambiguity, having a growth mindset, and have the capacity to move fast, by iterating with your cross functional partners.

Key job responsibilities
* Creating a cohesive product strategy across AWS Solutions product suite.
* Creating next-generation design deliverables that will inform how our models are trained and fine-tuned.
* Creating world-class, user-centered designs through consideration of UX research, market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings.
* Working with various stakeholders to help train LLMs to generate content that matches the intention of the designs.
* Demonstrating leadership in driving design processes into the organization that help refine strategy.
* Creating solutions for ambitious problems where no interaction paradigm currently exists.
* Presenting design work to the leadership team, product team, engineering team, and external partners for review and feedback.
* Collaborating with other design team members on experiences, frameworks, process, and best practices.
* Understanding and navigating rapidly evolving product and technology requirements.

A day in the life
* Day-to-day, you will contribute to the team's efforts to think big and explore new ideas.
* You will invent and simplify to turn potential and preferable future thinking into tangible solutions and experiences for customers whenever possible.
* You'll do this by delivering high-quality content strategy, collaborating closely with other designers, product, and engineering teams.
* You will work to identify, define, and help establish best practices within the organization and the broader design community to unify design processes, foster innovation and improve efficiency.
* Setting excellent examples for AWS teams and the entire Amazon design community.
* Challenging current assumptions and proposing new standards for customer innovation.
