Staff Management Group is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator for our client in Totowa, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7AM - 3:30PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate

• $15.49 / hour

Job Summary

The Sewing Machine Operator will be responsible for cutting, gluing, nailing, and shaping ballet shoes with leather material.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a Singer sewing machine to stitch, assemble, and reinforce ballet shoes.
• Cut, glue, and shape leather materials according to production specifications.
• Nail and assemble various shoe components to ensure durability and proper form.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality control and adherence to company standards.
• Follow detailed patterns and templates to maintain consistency in production.
• Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area for safety and efficiency.

Job Requirements  

• Must have previous experience using Singer Sewing Machines
• Ability to work with hand tools such as hammers, cutters, and adhesives for shoe assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in stitching and assembling products.
