Seamster/Seamstress

As a Seamster/Seamstress you will handle a range of tasks related to garment alterations and repairs.

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
• Handles all sewing and material alterations for the hotel/casino.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma required. 

• Full understanding of mending and construction techniques. 

• Computer skills helpful. 

• Ability to work in a fast paced and stressful environment 

• Seamstress / Seamster experience required

• Must have knowledge of: straight stitch machine, overlock and blind stitch machines.

• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results 

• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: carry and/or lift weight up to 30 lbs, stand/sit for 7 hours depending on work assignment, bend, kneel or move during course of 7 hours, and push or pull garment rack up to 50 lbs.
