Qualifications:
◆Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric-Mental Health.
◆Licensure/Certifications:
◆Current RN license in New Mexico.
◆Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
◆Active DEA registration for prescribing medications.
◆Experience: Clinical experience in psychiatric assessment, medication management, and psychotherapy.
◆Technical Skills: Expertise in psychopharmacology, therapeutic modalities, and crisis intervention.
◆Soft Skills: Strong empathy, active listening, and ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
◆Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
◆Diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
◆Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with precision.
◆Provide evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy.
◆Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare teams for holistic care.
◆Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
◆Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization services.
