The Opportunity

As a Process/Chemical Engineer Intern, you would function as a technical specialist, developing process solutions, performing treatment evaluations, and developing designs for facility enhancements. With some direction, you will develop and apply fundamental process engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to solve complex water quality treatment problems. You will provide technical assistance Wastewaterprojects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biological Systems Engineering
  • Experience or knowledge in Wastewater preferred
  • Strong background and expertise in environmental water, chemical, or biological processes and engineering systems
  • Knowledge of water or wastewater treatment process engineering principles or process modeling software
  • Technical Skills in leadership, collaboration, communication, and teamwork

Minimum Qualifications

No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment

Professionals located near a Black & Veatch office have the option of a hybrid work model that offers a balance between working together in person and the flexibility of remote work. Our hybrid work model means you will work three days in the office and two days from another location of your choice.
