Job Description

Le Bernardin, three-star Michelin fine dining restaurant, is seeking a full time Private Events Coordinator to join our Team. Candidates must have prior experience (preferably 2+ years) within event planning or a similar role in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel or brand environment.

 

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, to fill the role as an ambassador to the restaurant. Extensive interaction is held with guests, event planners, vendors, and our workforce. The ideal candidate will have strong follow-through in all aspects of event coordination details and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strategic and flexible thinking. Main responsibilities include daily event administration tasks, interaction with clients and all internal departments, while always maintaining poise and exceeding our guests’ expectations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Events team in all aspects of administrative work for the Events Department
  • Manage the event function sheets to ensure all food and beverage details are correct and communicated properly with all direct departments related to the function for a smooth and efficient event
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining accurate menu information across all event documents and systems, including Tripleseat, menu packets, and BEOs.
  • Follow up with Clients on Menu/Wine selections, room set up details, guest count etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date event calendars for all in-house departments
  • Assist in the creation of the printed menus (including place cards) for events, ensuring accuracy of the BEO
  • Ensure takeaway items are ordered (and updated when necessary), prepared, and packaged on time for events.
  • Communicate event details—including guest count changes, dietary restrictions, and other relevant updates—to all in-house departments involved 
  • Assist with managing the day-to-day duties of the Events department

 

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in hospitality with fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel and events
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Work schedule is flexible although some nights and weekends are scheduled as needed

 

Report To: Director of Private Events

 

Compensation to be discussed at venue. Excellent benefits and hourly pay commensurate with experience
