Job Description
Family Location: 94062 Summary: A bit about us: We’re a tight-knit, witty, and fun family of three with a sweet pitbull named Olive who loves people. I’m a young, educated mom with a passion for helping others, and I’m starting a new job while finishing college. My partner is in the navy, and we live in an ADU on the same property as my amazing parents. We all have a dry sense of humor and are big on communication. My parents have a tiny little dog in their home which is where the care will take place so there is a lot of room for playing as well as a large outdoor space.
Our 11-month-old is a really sweet and calm baby. He loves being outside, and connecting with people, animals, and nature. He’s very interactive and appreciates funny people! We are raising him without screens as much as possible. He is a music lover (all kinds of music), and enjoys percussion toys especially!
A bit about you: You are a positive person who adores babies, toddlers, and getting some sunshine every day. You truly invest in children and understand the impact you can have! You are comfortable with strong personalities; they make life more interesting, right?! Once you are given a new routine and have time to learn it, you are independent and proactive. You are knowledgeable about child development, and always have safety in mind. You like dogs, are patient, and you have clear communication! You are great at listening to what parents need and aligning with their preferences. For example, our baby has very sensitive skin so no fragrances or perfumed lotions can be worn.
Job Duties: Engage in child’s play and development, including reading books, overseeing baby gym, walking in nature, outings to the library, visits to the zoo, driving baby to outings either in your car or mine, blending food in the blender, assisting with safe feeding and cleaning up after baby’s meals and activities. Provide a safe environment at home and in public. Abide by the house rules of no posting baby photos on social media. All baby-related tasks such as diaper changes, bottle-feeding, burping, tummy time, putting down for naps, washing bottles, washing baby dishes, baby laundry and folding/putting it away. If you are willing to also walk my dog for 20 minutes during long naps, she and I would be massively appreciative!
