**Medical Device Assembler (Santa Clara)**

**Job Description**
Join our team to work with electrical emitters inside balloon-delivered catheters. This position involves microscope-intensive tasks, including connecting electrodes and assembling balloon catheters by cutting, sealing, crimping, and folding. You will be responsible for line clearance by setting up stations with materials, tools, and instructions, building subassemblies and final assemblies based on instructions, and documenting all details of work done on the lot. Additionally, you will assist with the development of the next generation of devices.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble balloon catheters, including length cutting, sealing, crimping, and folding.
+ Perform line clearance by setting up stations with necessary materials, tools, and instructions.
+ Build subassemblies and final assemblies according to provided instructions.
+ Document all work details on the lot for record-keeping purposes.
+ Assist in the development of next-generation products.
+ Work across three product lines: C2 - Coronary, S4 - Leg, and M5 - Thigh.
+ Install wires within the shaft and marker band using various tools.
+ Manually crimp shafts and wires.
+ Cut wires to length and crimp inner sleeves at the catheter's end.
+ Place emitters accurately and apply UV light and adhesive using Loctite.
+ Perform visual inspections and test emitter power with a micrometer.
+ Bond balloon to the shaft using a welding machine.
+ Form RX ports by trimming mandrill and inserting wires to specified lengths.
+ Verify catheter length using a ruler.
+ Perform hub assembly with UV curing and loctite.
+ Conduct leak tests to ensure no liquid escapes the catheter.
+ Fold and insert the balloon into the shaft.
+ Heat seal the catheter tip in an oven.
+ Install power connectors onto the catheter.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with medical device assembly.
+ Knowledge of GMP, MPI, LHR, and catheter assembly.
+ Proficiency in using a microscope for detailed work.
+ Understanding of UV curing and hot box techniques.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ True medical device class 3 experience.
+ Familiarity with catheter assembly and balloon catheter procedures.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a regulated clean room environment, requiring full PPE gowning from top to bottom. You will work day shifts only, Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
