Position summary: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides mental health services to cadets and employees. This role will assess needs, develop treatment plans, provide counseling and promote mental health and well-being. The LCSW is expected to maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff and parents.
Essential Tasks:
Provide mental wellness counseling using cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, and solution-focused therapy.
Interview and evaluates cadets, establishes diagnoses and levels of care, and establishes treatment plans which define the goals, treatment modalities, specific outcomes, and time-frames for treatment. Assists cadets in accessing resources and entitlements.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate cadets’ mental health needs.
Provide mental wellness counseling using cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, and solution-focused therapy.
Monitor treatment planning efforts and tailor as needed.
Promotes wellness by maintaining awareness of psychiatric medications and other prescribed medications and medical issues.
Collaborate with the admissions team, Dean and Commandant to evaluate potential cadets.
Maintain accurate and up to date documentation and progress notes on all cadet records.
Provide training to staff and faculty as needed.
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices, industry and education trends.
Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by the Missouri Division of Professional Registration and other relevant governing bodies.
Follow protocols for utilization management and develop treatment plans that are clinically relevant and cost effective. Seek authorizations as needed for payer sources.
Clinical Documentation-Complies with timeliness and accuracy of clinical documentation in accordance with Academy policies and procedures, ensure all records are completed and submitted within the required time frame.
