Tapori, is a vibrant Indian street food restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of H Street NE. We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable Host to join our team. If you love creating memorable dining experiences and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm upon arrival.
Manage reservations and maintain an organized waitlist.
Provide accurate wait time estimates and keep guests informed.
Assist in seating guests and ensuring efficient table turnover.
Collaborate closely with the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
Offer knowledgeable insights about our menu and unique dining experience.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a host or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
A welcoming and professional demeanor.
Familiarity with reservation management systems is a plus.
Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
