Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated  eCommerce Fulfillment Manager to lead the daily operations of our eCommerce fulfillment location. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, on-time fulfillment of customer orders while managing inventory, resolving customer service issues, and motivating a small team to meet performance metrics. 

This is a “test and learn” pilot program, so flexibility and adaptability are key as the fulfillment operation scales over time.

Key Responsibilities:

Fulfillment Operations

  • Oversee daily order fulfillment, ensuring all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time within 2 business day window.
  • Maintain a Wrong Order Rate of less than 1% by implementing quality control checks and process improvements.
  • Use Shopify and ShipStation (or similar software) to batch, print, and manage shipping labels and packing slips.
  • Ensure all orders are marked as shipped and are in transit to customer without issue.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and motivate a small team of fulfillment associates.
  • Set clear expectations, provide training, and hold team members accountable to performance metrics and safety.
  • Foster a positive, efficient, and safety-conscious work environment.

Customer Service Resolution

  • Log and resolve customer service issues related to fulfillment, shipping, and product accuracy.
  • Make strategic decisions on issue resolution (e.g., reship vs. refund) based on inventory availability and customer impact.
  • Track and analyze customer service trends to identify root causes and drive improvements, report monthly to Sr Manager, Direct eCommerce.
  • If Wrong Issue rate is high, work backwards with Sr Manager to identify issues and solve

Inventory Management

  • Receive and track all incoming product and supply inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct and manage bi-weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor and reorder packing materials and supplies to prevent disruptions.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain consistent, proactive communication with the off-site Sr. Manager of Direct eCommerce.
  • Provide daily or weekly updates on KPIs, operational challenges, and team performance.
  • Collaborate remotely to solve problems and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in eCommerce fulfillment, warehouse operations, or logistics.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to meet operational goals.
  • Proficiency in basic Excel (e.g., data entry, inventory tracking, simple formulas).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) eCommerce environment.
  • Familiarity with UPS shipping and logistics processes.
  • Experience with ShipStation, Shopify, or similar order management systems.
