We are actively seeking a Mid-Level Civil Engineer for a leading environmental consulting and engineering services firm based in Pittsburgh, PA . This is a full-time position offering a hybrid work model and the opportunity to work on diverse projects that drive environmental restoration, infrastructure improvement, and sustainable development.
This role is ideal for candidates with 4 7 years of civil engineering experience, particularly those who thrive in both office and field environments. You will support site development, stormwater management, erosion control, and civil design efforts across a wide range of projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare technical designs and engineering plans, including:
Site layout and grading plans
Erosion and sediment control plans
Post-construction stormwater management systems
Land development and subdivision plans
Conduct hydrology, hydraulics, and drainage calculations
Design stormwater management Best Management Practices (BMPs)
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for the development of:
3D surfaces, grading models
Pipe networks and corridor modeling
Profiles and cross-sections
Assist project managers in proposal development, client coordination, and regulatory compliance
Participate in occasional field work related to site assessments and construction support
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 12 months
4 to 7 years of progressive civil engineering experience
Working knowledge or experience in the following areas is a plus:
Hydrology and hydraulics
Erosion and sediment control design
Stormwater management design
Land development permitting
AutoCAD Civil 3D
